Short Background info: Asic GT 2000s and Asic Gel Kayanos have worked pretty well for me.
BUT
I have been reading and it seems that a lower heal drop is better and I have a really slow cadence and am really bouncy, but it all changes when I run barefoot, no bounce, short strides, etc.
Ideally I would like to have shoes that are low heal drop and low cushion, but I don't want to get injured, what would you all recommend?
Long Background info (don't really need to read): I am a junior in HS. Freshman year ran in adidas boosts in xc and then asic gt 2000s in track, sophomore year I ran xc in asics gt 2000s and then got injured in track, when I got better, i ran in asics gt 2000s for a short bit (maybe month and a half) then got Brooks Adrenalines, but they fell apart after only 200 miles (the outside of the shoe fell apart), so switched back into asics gt 2000, was able to get 500 miles out of the next shoes with not terrible destruction out of the shoes. Got a new pair and wore them into January, then i got Asic Gel Kayanos instead, and I've been happy with them, they are lasting well, still seem in good conditions after 350 miles.
