Washington on supporting her teammate
Wait... Why?
Yeah, what's the reason? Prevent Oregon from scoring too many points?
It has to do with her race.
She stepped on the inside line
ha I see what you did there
anyone else not convinced from the video? it didn't look like she was on the line....
They can always protest, as I'm sure they will.
They showed a replay on espn coverage and coming around the first turn it definitely looked like she stepped on the inside line from the angle they showed it
Yeah the second time they showed her she certainly stepped on the line

Deajah is a big girl with a lot of power. She's definitely a threat to be great. She's not even out of school yet.
There's a screenshot in here of her stepping on line:

This is total b.s.. If this is the d.q. pic. She stepped on the outside line and is d.q.ed. unless i am mistaken you have to take two steps out of lane to be d.q.ed. onestep on outside line is to no disadvantage and should not be a d.q.
Meant advantage
She is obviously inexperienced with banked indoor tracks, which makes her time all the more impressive. She will be massive outdoors.
Isn't the American (USA) record that of FloJo, 21.34s?
Maybe you mean: female, indoor, USA record? I guess if you throw enough adjectives, it works.
Or am I just stoopid? wrote:

Yeah, you'd think that journalists would know enough to write the facts of this DQd record, but not even the article explains what it actually is (or the details of the Torrence record).
According to Wikipedia, 22.57s is tied for #20 alltime, and 22.24s is #3, best since 1995.
"DQd after breaking the record"
"sets record and then is DQd"
Clearly LRC does not understand that you have to run the race according the rules to set a record in the first place.
That was NOT a lane violation per NCAA Track and Field Rulebook:
SECTION 4. Legal Running
Legal Running in Lanes
ARTICLE 1. In all races run in lanes, each competitor shall keep within their assigned lane from start to finish. However, without material advantage gained and no other runner being obstructed, a competitor may run outside their assigned lane in the straightaway or outside the outer line of their lane on a curve.
