Hi All,
I am running my first marathon in Paris on 9 April. I've done quite a few half marathons and most recently did an 82:24 but not on tapered legs.
I've been doing a lot of track / interval training and covering anything between 35-70 miles per week, sometimes more but not the norm.
My 10km pb last year was 36:59 before I started my running training and in January I did a 37:38 on a hilly course (which I consider to be my best 10km). Based on my splits at a recent half, I feel that I am at close to 60 minute 10 mile fitness.
I have done a lot of 12-14km runs, quite a few 12-14 milers, some 16 mile runs and two 20 milers so far at anywhere between 7-8:15 min pace.
I am hoping to run Paris in sub 3 hours and was wondering if anyone has any particular comments as to whether this is achievable. I think that it is but that it'll be tough work. I am losing some weight at the minute, having come from an 80kg muscular frame, albeit I will not get to the 72kg I should be at for my 5 feet 9.
Thanks in advance.
John
