Good. I hope she slays!
Conley, Costello, Hasay, Infeld, and Thweatt appear to be the main competitors.
Why so much racing within 5 weeks of her Boston debut? Seems a touch risky.
Why does Alberto feel that Hasay needs to race so much but a complete different game plan for Rupp?

Hasay has been healthy, Rupp has not. He's dealing with the PF issue. If Rupp was, and had been 100%, he'd be racing more. However, even with that said, you'd be an idiot for a coach to think that Athlete A and Athlete B should be doing the exact same workouts with the exact same rest and the exact same race schedule. Maybe Hasay needs the races for a mental edge and it gets her pumped, maybe racing too much for Rupp is mentally draining.

Real question is why go all the way to Prague?
To Prague? Its not much differeng than going from Ny to LA.
Also, its a fast, well paced half with world class athletes. They may be going for a fast time.
About five years ago there was a long thread on these boards about the value of racing a half-marathon a month before a marathon. I remember even one of the Hanson brothers weighed in and thought it was a good idea. Hasay will be racing a 15 K five weeks out and then a half sixteen days out. So I guess what's the logic of 1) doing both; and 2) doing the half so close to Boston. I'm sure Salazar has something in mind, but apart from wondering what it is, I wonder whether it involves a change in his understanding of the best prep for a marathon.
There are too many negatives about flying to the Prague Half, getting sick is number one, being on an airplane for a total off 20-24 hours roundtrip makes zero sense to me.
There are many races in the US, like 10 miler and 10K without disrupting the bodies natural rhythms so close to the marathon.
I think they are going to Prague for appearance fees, and to get in a solid tempo 2 weeks prior to Boston. I would bet that both will run faster than their marathon pace, but well slower than their half-marathon PR pace. It should be just a good solid pace that they can recover from pretty easily.
However, this 15K is a different story. Being further away from Boston, Hasay might have the green light to let it rip IF she is feeling good.
The 24hrs of flight time at 20,000ft+ should be considered altitude training for them
We saw Jordan running around the Cal Poly track the other day. To say she's looking very fit is an understatement. You immediately recognize that she's not your average runner with everyone taking a second and third glance admiring her physique and the shape she's in. It was a big "wow" from all of us watching. We wish her the best!
According to Twatter Hasay and Leonard Korir won.
Well, not sure about Korir -- results here: http://www.1stplacesports.com/grr17res.html#1_5269CC
Takes scalp of Emily Infeld....Jordan Hasay is BACK!
Hard to take anyone from NOP seriously these days, but I guess good for her. Interesting to see what happens in Boston.
It would have been easier to take the Men's race to Colorado Springs

Jordan was first, but Infeld was just 20 sec behind, so do you take her seriously?
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?

Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
