Very impressive once again.
Very impressive once again.
Do you even understand what's going on here? Laura Muir has now become the UK's Steve Prefontaine in every way.
Similar attitude, running style, owning of opposition from the front in international races, and even plucky defeat in a nonmedaling performance at the OG etc. Listen to the cheer she receives from the home crowd whenever she is announced. People want to believe and Laura gives them that reason. It has been a long time since UK track audiences could cheer for such an athlete. Since Dave Bedford perhaps.
I think she ran faster than all of the men in the USATF meet 3000m except Chelimo.
Haha duhhhh the men ran 2mi and she ran 3k.
I think doped. She's ran a 15 heat then a 3k heat. a 15 final winning in a cr then a tough 3k final winning in a cr with a 2.44 last k 60 second last 400 all in the space of 3 days. It's just ridiculous to not question that.
i dont like her running style. so much based on power and strength. runners like that are more likely do dope

Exactly.
She's a ball busting talent. Puts it on the line all the time
Euro indoors is JV for a runner of Laura's caliber. None of the times she ran was near her max capability. Impressive as a set piece, but really just good solid training.

Love her running style, so fun to watch. Her last 400 m are pretty spectacular https://youtu.be/_lQxhtQQNE0
Wow!!! Laura Muir might be the most exciting distance runner to watch in T&F right now.

She's wonderful but Van Niekerk, Kiprop, Ayana etc are hardly boring.

Agreed. The Ayana 10k was probably my favorite part of Rio (as much as I was pumped for Rupp and Ward).

No no the most exciting talent has to be white. The blacks dope.

I guess you don't enjoy watching any elite athletes then, because all their performances have their basis in a great deal of power & strength. You don't get very far in athletics without those things.

Not really elite athletes if they are running times that thousands of other runners have beaten.

Eh? True "elite" means you're one of the best, like Laura. By definition, thousands of current runners will not have run faster than a truly elite athlete at his/her distance.[quote]
