One of my best friends is convinced he's a 'low-mileage' guy. He's very naturally talented at mid-distance and shorter stuff, but I think he can destroy the long-distances if he trains for them. His previous max has been 50 mpw of quality work.
50 mpw to 100mpw is a big jump, so it won't be easy to persuade him into it. I need case studies of people who made huge improvements after making the mileage jump, and evidence disproving the perceived correlation between injury and miles.
