Yet another prediction thread!
Predict my half marathon time; race is in 2 1/2 weeks time.
Averaged 45mpw since Christmas, 42mpw before that. Last month has been at 50mpw though
Previous PB 1:22:29, 10k PB 36:46, 5k PB 17:58 (probably went out way too fast). Subjectively feel in just as good shape as when those were all set (Autumn last year).
Intervals:
24th Jan - 6x(3min H + 3min jg) (H-pace 5:41)
2nd Feb - 4x(4min H + 3min jg) (H-pace 5:37) (windy)
17th Feb - 6x(3min H + 2min jg) (H-pace 5:26)
Tempo/threshold:
28th Jan - 45min run w/ 20min tempo (T-pace 6:01)
7th Feb - 4x(1T + 1min jg) (T-pace 6:04)
10th Feb - 6 mile tempo (adjusted Daniels T-pace 6:19)
14th Feb - 5x(1T + 1min jg) (T-pace 6:01)
22nd Feb - 5x(1T + 1min jg) (T-pace 6:01) (VERY windy)
Marathon and T-pace mixed run:
19th Feb - 5M + 1T + 3M + 1T + 1M + 1T (M-pace 6:28) (T-pace 6:04) (14 miles including warm up and cool down)
Two other long runs of 13 miles easy, and one of 15 miles. I seem to benefit more from total volume than from any one long run though, so I'm not overly worried if this seems on the low side for number of long runs.
Especially pleased with the most recent cruise intervals (20 mph winds, with gusts of 40-50mpw), and the 17th Feb intervals (couldn't believe they were so quick - ran them hard though). The mixed run was a real confidence builder, and I actually ran my 2nd fastest HM (1:23:50ish) in the middle of it.
All workouts were on the roads, nothing on the track.
