At the recommendation of this forum, I bought the Daniel's Running Formula.
After research, I came across the Run S.M.A.R.T project that has customized training plans.
I have never trained. I just run 4-8 miles per day. I did this to lose weight and keep it off. Now, I want to actually train with intervals and all those things.
Are those programs good to go with? I have been running for a couple of years, averaging 35-55 miles per week. I average 8:30 pace during those runs regardless of distance. But when I race, 5K - 6:36 Half - 7:16. But I am completely spent.
I would like to get consistent under 20 minute 5K's and have only done it twice. I think that doing that having never trained, that training would be beneficial.
I would also love to run a sub 7:00 pace in a half.
I will be 40 in April, and looking to compete in the Masters divisions at races.
