My goal is to hit 2:05 in the 800 and 4:45 in the 1600, my PR's are 2:20 and 5:20. Any good training routines/race day advice?

And no, this is not some sh1tty bumping tactic. I legit didn't make this thread
2:05 is too fast. If you can ran 2:05 you can run 4:30. 2:10 is a better goal in my opinion. As for training, put in a MAX of 35 miles per week. Probably 25-30 is better for your age. Most of these runs should be mileage (i.e. 3 to 5 miles) at a very easy pace. One that you could hold a conversation at. Do some 400 repeats (at mile pace) once or twice a week and a long run (i.e. 6 to 8 miles) once a week on weeks that you're not racing. Once a month or so do some 200 repeats (at 800 pace).
