My coach won't let me run the mile/1500 because he says the 800 is my event. I've run the 800 in 1:51:54 and the 400 in 49.8. Can some please predict my mille/1500 time? I also ran 26:00 for 5 miles and 15:44 for 5K last fall. Thanks for your help!

Approximately 1.06.
5:12 for mile and maybe 3:50 for 1500...

That sounds like a rough last 109m.
He lets you run everything but, huh?
Based on what you told us, I predict a DNS
Best guess is 3:54/55 as you have a decent 5k. Your 400 is stronger than your 800 though so don't be surprised if your 1500 is even weaker... somewhere in the region of 4:00

Are you saying a high 49 400m is better than a 1:51 800? Lmao
For sure. 50 flat speed should give a decently aerobically trained runner 1:49 high to 1:50.

He has 50 flat speed. No 1500 implies not decently aerobically trained. 1:51 with 49.8 speed also shows not aerobically trained.

+1
I think you're agreeing with me...

So I guess we think 50 is fast now?

49.8 runners are a dime a dozen.
1:51 800 runners aren't elite, but it is a more impressive performance, by a significant margin.
That said, based on the OPs 5k and 8k times (assuming they genuinely train for XC), they definitely aren't highly developed/gifted aerobically, I'm going with 3:54-:55 for 1500.
Solely based on your 800pr you could run around 3:40 for 1500(with training). You'll need to improve aerobically first. Improving aerobically will also help your 400 and 800. You could go 48-1:47. Now if you go 48/1:47 you can go 3:34.
You have the physical tools. Do you have the heart to give 100%?
Completely depends on the individual.
I coached a guy who had only run 1:51 and no way had broken 50 at any point. He ran 3:41 / 3:59. But had become better overall, sub 8:00 3k, etc. so he was strong.
Speed endurance, Vo2 and threshold work.
Speed is already good enough.
