The kid threw away a stable job, a relationship with a girl who wanted to marry him, and created ill will with his family, all so he could be a human tackling dummy at Notre Dame. Shameful and selfish.

It was a dumb post, but your response was almost as dumb.
I've never been able to watch more than three minutes of "Rudy." Being 89th man on a college football team is no kind of triumph.

Especially given that he only "achieved" that by being a huge pain in the butt and playing up the sympathy card.
You guys are missing the point it's about accomplishing your dream even when the odds are not in your favor and in Rudys case they the odds were terrible.
So the equivalent for "Rudy Dream" Bob Sacamano would be winning his age group in the Turkey Trot in a small town. Maybe you'll get it next year buddy.

Yeah, that'll only happen if the cranberry sauce boss pulls both hamstrings, gets a stress fracture, and puts on about 50 pounds. That guy is my NEMESIS!!!

I wore a Victorian dress and pranced around like a fairy. I did this as a sign of my love for the chicken.

I put peaches in my panties and prance around until my knees bleed. I don't know why this is so hard for you to understand.

That is a total joke of a post and you know it.

I just saw this movie. It big time blows. The OP is right.
Pshhhh, sorry Rudy can't compare to your favorite movie, Paul Blart Mall Cop.
Rudy is without question the greatest sports movie of all time.
Running, with Michael Douglas, is the greatest sports movie of all time.
In my opinion, the greatest sports movie of all time was Something for Joey - the true story about Heisman trophy winner John Capiletti and his younger brother, Joey, a 12 year old with leukemia.
After that, I think it would be Chariots of Fire.
