This was my coaches email. I was there today and can't help but feel he's bailing on those who are committed. What should I do?
Greetings Distance Crew,
I understand many of you are traveling and are out of town this week. I also understand many of you are still in town. Regardless today of the 27 distance runners that committed to be a part of this track team just three showed to practice this morning. It was raining, windy and cold but we were there.
Due to such a low turnout I cannot take this time away from my family in good conscience. I have attached our training schedule to this email. For those interested I am still willing to meet up to conduct the workout but will need you to commit to meeting. Commitment is not convienient. Over these next few days please look at your schedule and see if you can commit fully to being a part of this team. I know many of you have other interests and if you wish to follow them you have my blessing. But we are not a fitness club, but a team. We have a large team of about 150 athletes and we cannot accommodate part time athletes.
Please take a moment to talk to your parents and decide if you can commit to being a part of this team.
