Hi guys, sorry to ask this as I wouldn't be surprised if it's been asked before, but what workout is the best for getting as accurate as possible an estimate for your 800m time?
I'm a slow ass hobby jogger who's trying to crack 2:30 for 800m and I did 2x400 with 5-6 minutes in between in 74 and 73.
The 74 felt quite controlled and smooth, I definitely could have maintained it another 200m I believe; I'd like to think I could have extended it the whole 800 but I can't say with 100 percent certainty.
The 73 felt much harder but I definitely could have kept going maybe another 100-200m if pressed. What would you guys say I could run 800 if fresh?
I'm already expecting 1x800 at 800 pace/2x400 no rest lol but that's ok. Any help is appreciated.
