I want to get thoughts and a discussion going.
You see more and more coaches and athletes training crazy hard and racing crazy fast indoors. Yes they throw down super fast times and talk about hard training, speed workouts and setting fast times indoors. Some athletes and programs can run well indoors and still drastically improve and run fast when it counts outdoors. But many seem to try to peak in XC, peak indoors and see what happens outdoors. There than excuses for running fast outdoors in April/ early may and disappearing in the championship season.
I am in the northeast, section 1 to be exact so just about every indoor meet is at the over raced Armory.
Anyone else see an overemphasis on indoors now? And why do you think it occurs?
