I've been deep water running recently because of injury and following the Pfitzinger plan loosely. It has four days of "hard intervals," which I have been treating like work on the track in terms of intensity
My question is about recovery time between sessions. Of course on the track, most people need several days of recovery. DWR has way less impact, so injury-risk is much lower, but the cardio can be brutal and I'm absolutely wiped after a good session. For all the other physiological systems involved, is less recovery time required and the main issue with the track about impact?
