So a few weeks ago I was diagnosed with a stress fracture in the second metatarsal in my left foot. I had been running on it for a month, because I had asked my friend and a coach and they it was probably nothing major. I finally went to our school's(I am currently a sophomore in highschool) physical trainer, who sent me to an orthopedic, who diagnosed the fracture. I have been in a boot and crutches for two weeks, and this week I started walking in just the boot. I've been cross training like crazy, because the state indoor track meet is this Monday. I missed qualifying at regionals, due to not running on the fracture. But I am a part of the 4x800 team, who managed to qualify without me. However, my alternate is 20 seconds slower. Which puts us from rank 1, to 3. I wanted to get some outside opinions on if I should run this 800 or not. I really want to win a state title, and this is my best chance. But I also don't want to be out until past cross country this fall.
