Well, it was a few weeks ago. She made it to the top six but apparently, as word has it, a question on American politics derailed her and she went home devastated.

She is beautiful.
rumor has it her birth certificate says she's from hawaii but she won't provide it.
She is pretty enough to be an honorary Ethiopian.

All I believe is that she could probably do the 800m or the 400m hurdles.

WOW. A black woman without a grievance against white people. One of a kind!!!
I'm not judging anyone, but the perception of races is completely different in various places around the world.
I'm from eastern Europe and when I was a child I got a deck of playing cards which had images with kids of different skin colors. I was so excited to see that there are other types of people than the ones I knew (white).
We were playing with gypsy children and couldn't see something bad at them.
I look at my 5 years old daughter and I'm amazed how she differentiates beautiful from ugly people: the good ones are all beautiful and mean people are ugly.
Her grandma is pretty fat, but my daughter thinks she is very beautiful.
She got derailed because what she really wanted to say was:
"I'll tell you what I'm most excited about when it comes to President Trump. If I win maybe one day I'll meet him. And then maybe he will grab my pvssy".

Sounds like you're the one with the grievance.

Gee, why would anyone possibly have a grievance when white people all have such nice things to say!
Great girl she seems smarter than your usual miss.
that was a pretty bad answer. Well, you can comfort yourself with yet another Kenyan world record in the women's half. Congratulations!
My daughter did pageants when she was that age. She worked with a coach for awhile. The official line from pageants is "express your true opinion, just express it well" which is BS. The insiders know that you never say anything that could be be considered conservative. A few years back Miss California was asked a question about gay marriage. She answered that she believed marriage was between and man and a woman. She was in the lead in all the scoring areas and was the clear favorite, but after that answer there was no way she could have won. I believe she was first runner up. All sorts of controversy about her answer.
Check out Miss France's answer to her Miss Universe question. She was asked about immigration. France, with its problems of migrant camps and acts of terrorism----Miss France sweetly said that the borders are open to all and they want the biggest exchange of people possible, and guess who won the title?
These "on-the-spot" questions are to screen out anyone who might say something controversial and jeopardize the reputation of the contest as a representative.

Actually that is not the purpose. The contestants have already gone through a judge's panel interview where they are given all sorts of questions to answer and that is where they weed out any loose cannons. The stage question is to see how they think on their feet in front of a live audience.
My Lord, that was painful. Can't stop cringing. Nerves can do that to you.

Teleprompter. You can see her eyes moving as she reads, as soon as her answer begins. So strange. Almost as strange as a presidential debate.
In Kenya, women don't have access to Vagisil. Instead, they use dirt.
