Is this the same Hunter who drives a Maserati to practices
and has a very loud stereo system that plays LL Cool J.
The Hunter who wears luxurious furs coats and has a 24k gold
teeth dentures? Is dat he?

Saarel may not be done either after all. Let's see what his 4:01 at altitude is really worth. We will find out in the next month if he improves on his 3000m junior time.
Saarel came close to beating his junior time yesterday with a 7:53.74 at Husky Classic. He's close, but not quite there... he does have a shot at improving his junior time, but time is running out. I don't expect that he will run post college.
Hunter would be ranked number one in the NCAA in the mile (not counting altitude conversions) and 11th in the 3k with his seasonal bests. Not too shabby.

Indeed. Also, Hunter is 5th all time US junior (based on his performance from last year). He improved on his PR yesterday.
Ryun and Fernandez (both ranked ahead of him in the mile as juniors) never improved their mile time as seniors.
Webb (ranked 2nd as a junior) did improve on his mile time as a senior, but not in his first year as a senior.
Dub Myers, the other guy that is ranked ahead of Hunter as a junior, I don't know. What is Dub Myers lifetime best at the mile?
Hunter is continuing his progression straight out of the junior ranks. It's both nice to see and somewhat unexpected for such a strong junior athlete.
worth noting stanford redshirt frosh Thomas Ratcliffe ran 7:53 a few weeks ago - this is not a very impressive time when you really look at it.
Hunter's 3:56 on saturday was far more impressive.
Thomas Ratcliffe is actually 2 days older than Hunter (and not in the junior ranks either)
Yes, they are probably both old enough to be sophomores, but their times are both very good nonetheless.
Hunter is still faster than Ratcliffe at this point.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
