Drew Hunter ran a PR of 7:51.90 but got beat in the 3000 at the Armory. Last year at this time, he ran his pb of 7:59.33 for 3000 on the flat track at Camel City.
In the race, former CU Buff Morgan Pearson went out hard - 410.78 for 1600. Hunter went out in 411.72 and McDonald 4:13.39. Hunter was still ahead of McDonald at the bell but not at the finish. Last lap splits of 29.51 for Pearson, 27.38 for McDonald and 28.73 for Hunter.
