Can someone please write the requisite counter thread? I do have the energy to do it myself.
I hate my teammate!
All he wants to do is talk on runs when we are trying to focus on training....blah blah blah.

Why do you need to yatter of runs?
Yes... yes... Let the Hate flow, boy. Use your aggressive feelings.
even after college this is true
i mentioned this to 2 female coworkers the other day. they asked what we talk about on long runs. i said usually things short conversations like "she's hot". i got a smack. i'm glad i didn't tell them what we really say....lets just say its more colorful than "she's hot".
Just call your team members gay during your long runs. It usually goes over well especially if you shave your legs.
I'm surprised nobody has said you should be running so fast on your runs that you can't possibly have a conversation.
You may be pushing the pace to hard for them to talk...
I did:
Thanks for the advice. We do hangout outside of practice, but I seem to be closer with other people on the team that I don't do my runs with. We do stuff all the time as a team, but the four people I do my runs with almost never participate/hangout with everyone else. Today, I took the advice of saying something then shutting up. Someone said "I agree" then nothing for 30 min. I'm over it, and I guess it just gives me better motivation to get better so I can run with my friends on the team.
try this. it works.ask them how their day was. then after listening to their story and they dont ask you how your day was. just jokingly say, now you ask me how my day was. youll provably get a laugh and they might realize they arent reciprocating conversation
they noticed your homosexuality
You're right. This is a stupid thing to be mad about.

So, you have established that you are in slow group on the team and you hang out with the faster guys. I am sure the guys in the slower group are looking at it like you think you are too good for them. And they are trying to work their asses off to move up to a faster group but you keep trying to talk to them during workouts. I am surprised they haven't told you to STFU, we are trying to get better you dumba$$. It seems that they are trying to be nice. But I will say it for them, STFU!!!
BTW, the faster guys don't want you in their group and they don't like you either.
Conceded? You're obviously not a Harvard man.
Careful.
This is precisely how mslmo became a hated young man, and bitter old man....
Would be interested to hear how the situation turned out for this college runner. Sounds like maybe some of your teammates could be the same pricks responding on this thread. Running is sure full of douchebags (although I am guessing if they couldn't post anonymously, most dicks on LetsRun wouldn't have the balls to post).
