Curious if I'm racing too little or not enough. I race about once every 2 months different events from the 5k to the half marathon throughout the year. Current PRs are 18:56 5k, 39:20 10k, and 1:28:30 13.1. Very slow.

Until my health issues, which have put me out of commission for the foreseeable future, I was racing about once a month. But I'm an old mid-d guy who won't run anything further than a 5K.
I don't race much as I enjoy just running often and take up quite a bit of time. I try to not race much as that could take a good chunk of my day away from family on a weekend and as my son grows older, I'll probably have less time as I'll attend his sports events.
Last year, I just raced twice, one half marathon and one marathon. That was plenty for me as I run mostly bc it feels good to run and too much racing have led to injuries and I rather avoid them.
You're slightly faster than me in each of those distances. I race about 12 times a year, spread unevenly across 6 months (e.g. August I race 3 times, October only once, etc.). I never ran in college, only ran in high school because it was rural enough that I didn't have to make the team. I'm 32 and male. I wouldn't race more than once per week, but I also wouldn't go a week without at least some kind of "speed" work (where "speed" is relative to the race distance you're training for).
