Wow, he didn't just break it, he destroyed it, er devastated it.
Alternative headline: Kenyan breaks world record, happens to be running in utep uniform.
Question: how is flotrack a nonprofit?
That's a 25 year old Kenyan doper if I've ever seen one. We'll see how he does a few (clean) months from now.
Nice run. Hard to suck at 800 when you can break 1:15 for 600m. What Kipketer split for 600m when he set the 800m indoor record?
This record will last less than 4 weeks. 1:44 800/46 second 400m guy Mark English is attempting it next month. He has run 58 for 500m too a couple of months ago just beaten by Rudisha.
Remember how everybody was salivating over another Kenyan 800 freshman 2 years ago. Just sayin.

That's the thing: you've never seen one. You have absolutely zero idea of what you're talking about. What are you? Maybe 16? Wait until you go to college. A Kenyan coming over for college to run for Paul Ereng or anyone else definitely has no money for peds. Go get some life experience, and then come on back in 3-4 years.

At 5300ft. Let's talk about devastating, when he does it a sea level like Motchebon did.

1:16.5
This kid is quicker than Kszcscot, Berian etc. He could be the real deal. Sub 1:15 is no joke indoors.
This kid could be real deal wrote:

Also quicker than Mohammed Aman, Loxom, Sowinski, Bosse

Congrats "you are clueless" on getting shut down. Korir is the real deal.

Not the best quality but here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjvYKIJo6ZcWhat size track? Assume that it was 200m or less or it would,t be a record?
Not really that much of a shock that a high class 400/800 man can string three 25 second 200s together is it?
I am aware that I should know this but what's the outdoor best for this distance? Anyone gone through 400 in 48 seconds and maintained that pace? Surely, Rudisha at his best could manage that?
How old is he?

I think Johnny Gray has outdoor WR in 1:12.21.
Very often excellent 600m runners do not fare well over 800m. Look at Loxsom, the US indoor 600m record holder. He is not in the top 10 US indoor performers over 800m. Sucks to be excellent in a non event.

WB outdoors is 1:12.8

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
