Actually I agree with Trump on who was to blame for the government shutdown. At about the 3 minute mark of Seth Meyers "A closer look" there is a video of Trump explaining who would be responsible. Its pretty funny.

I will take the liberty of putting this to the top of the page.

The Art of the Deal -- Donald Trump
That’s ironic Gary - you should do a little digging on the book’s author and check out what he has to say about Trump
Conundrum, just cut to the chase brah. The video statement of Trump saying any government shutdown is due to a failure of leadership by the POTUS has been posted previsouly in this thread...like here....

Yeah, he said Trump would resign by the end of last year. So much for his credibility.
This compilation was much funnier.

The Donald disagrees with you wrote:
Per the Cheeto Jesus himself, the POTUS is responsible for government shutdowns. Additionally, his comments imply the POTUS should be fired for shutdowns as problems start from the top. I completely agree Mr. President and will happily accept your resignation letter now.

Good morning! How are all you LRC stable geniuses doing this fine AM?
Yup!
Trump told reporters that he is willing to talk to Mueller under oath?
Anyone believe that?
He's either subpoenaed and has to or is just throwing something to the press that we will later reneg on.
I will believe it after it has happened.
I do wonder if he will straight up lie under oath or take the fifth here and there.
Question - Did you order Flynn to talk to the Russians about sanctions before your inauguration?
Trump - No
Question - Did you instruct Don Jr to tell Flynn to do that?
Trump - I take the fifth
And will the public get a transcript of this testimony.

So he got a prediction wrong. This is someone who followed the godless Trump all around for an entire year. His comments about our president's character are extremely credible.
I've said from the beginning that there will be no resignation. The godless Trump will see this through until he is convicted in the senate or a court of law. A resignation would mean admitting he was wrong, and he never does that.

I think he would rather talk to Mueller under oath than talk to the grand jury under oath. Those will be his only two choices.
As for whether he lies or pleads the fifth, the smart thing to do would be to plead the fifth. Yes, it would cause a political firestorm as it is tantamount to admitting guilt.
But the alternative is talk, which means telling the truth or lying. He can't do either without being convicted of something.

I don't think you understand life in 2018. If you ever made a statement that later turned out to not be definitely true, you have no credibility in any subject. Also, if you tweeted a possibly edgy joke in 2011, you will have to quit your current job.

BTW, I don't think he actually will plead the fifth. The godless Trump is much to proud to hide behind the fifth amendment. I'm just saying it would be the smart thing to do.

He’s going to cower behind his lawyer. Did he come through on the tax return? Exactly. Trump’s word is as good as (fill in the blank)

His word is no good. But let's be clear. He has no choice. Mueller has the right to depose him under oath and that is what will happen.
I think he will obfuscate and delay this interview as much as possible.
He has seemingly agreed in principle to this interview but with out a date set that is meaningless.
Just like saying he will build a wall or release his tax returns.
He hasn't not built the wall or not released his tax returns, he just has not done it yet.
Same with passing DACA.
Same with making a new healthcare deal.
If he ever does testify under oath and is asked a direct question about a serious crime he may have committed, I think he will perjure himself vs take the fifth and certainly not admit to anything.
That would save political face a buy a lot of time before he would be brought up on perjury charges which would require evidence and testimony of others that would then have to be believed.
If Flynn and others have testified that Trump did give certain orders he would just call them liars and this all gets dragged out further.
Without wire taps or video of hard evidence, I think Trump can get away with everything.
Especially since his base and a number of Congressmen will stand right behind him.
Impeachment is the only way to go.
The House doesn't need hard evidence to impeach and the Senate simply needs 67 Senators who would like to see him go.
So 30 Republican senators up his butt are not enough.
Basically you need Dems to win the House and about 20 Republican Senators that don't like him.
I think McCain will stay alive just to cast a vote to convict Trump.
I think your analysis is essentially correct.

If Mueller has enough evidence to convict of criminal wrongdoing, I don't think he can escape from that.
