I put up scenarios for Trump being out of office.
I don't recall saying he wouldn't make it to the end of the year so please find and quote that post from me.
One year is a tight window.
I did write that he may be out and replaced before the 2018 midterms.
The thinking is that the House of Representatives would want the chance to have Paul Ryan be president in case Mike Pence gets pulled down with Trump.
If they wait until 2019, the Democrats could have control and you could get Nancy Pelosi as president. The Republicans would not want that.
This Mueller investigation will go for a while and Manafort and Flynn do not have trial dates yet and it could take time for Trump connections to unfold.
They could be in the middle of some serious mess come November this year and that could really hurt the Republicans in their elections.
The worse case scenario for Republicans is that they lose the House in 2018 and Democrats start impeachment proceedings in early 2019.
If the republicans start the impeachment process themselves, that could help them politically and they could retain power that way.
Even if the Dems control the House and start the impeachment process, it will be a stretch to convict Trump with 67 Senators voting for it and getting about 20 Republicans to along.
Unless there is some video of Trump talking to Russians, grabbing women and ordering Russian women to pee on each other, it may be tough to convict him.
I really don't believe in the American justice system from some judgments I have seen.
And I don't believe elected Republicans will choose country over party or do the right thing, and that would be needed for an impeachment conviction.
