So, suddenly all Republicans do not care about the national debt.
*the theory* is that now they will start slashing spending.
more like, the "plan."
Yes, the "populist" Trump wants to cut the top tax rate on the richest, cut taxes on corporations, eliminate estate tax on multi-multi-millionaires, eliminate AMT even on the super-rich, no closing of carried interest advantage that the the "hedge fund guys" love, lower "pass through" rate that those same guys can take full advantage of, stockholders will very likely see some benefit (which yes, is good for lots of people, but the richest among us reap the biggest rewards here), etc, etc. So yes, BIG tax cut/benefit to the very wealthy, with modest cuts or even small increases on the rest.
How to pay for all these cuts?? (1.5 TRILLION $'s)
Cut all social programs that benefit the poor, cut scientific research, cut job training, don't do any infrastructure because you can longer pay for it, and maybe even raise some taxes on some of the very poor who pay no **federal** income tax, to get some of their "skin in the game" for them.
yes, VERY populist indeed!
