The Southern Strategy worked too well, and the reasonable fiscal conservatives are no longer emblematic of our civil opposition, but instead the moderate fringe of an increasingly theo-fascist group.

Eight years of hating a man because he had the audacity to believe that a black man could hold the highest office in the land. It wasn't about being a Democrat. Moderates on both sides of the aisle need to accept that the Republican party as we knew it is over, and that it has been consumed from within by those whose only differences from ISIS is that they pay lip service to Christendom and believe that the "White Man's Burden" is desirable philosophy.

We need to stop pretending that we do not face the American Taliban. That is precisely what they are, and we should deal with them in precisely the same way.

The right does nothing to protect our democracy. The right supports a man with massive conflicts of interests both domestic and abroad. The right stole a supreme court seat. The right attempted to pass a law that would lead to thousands of Americans dying of preventable diseases. The right supports racism and bigotry. The right actively suppresses minorities. The right repeatedly threatens violence on any who do not support them. The right supports discrimination.

The right is the enemy of America. Killing friends and family is obviously way, way too far. But we cannot pretend that those in charge are rational or decent.

That's because Kaine was not referring to violence. To a liberal, "fighting in the streets" means marching and protesting. It's language that is left over from the civil rights era. Mark Warner knows that.

But if you are still unsure that's what he meant. Here is Kaine's statement, which is clearly in the context of Martin Luther King, and a commitment to non-violent protests:
