America NEEDS a good conservative party and a liberal party - not the current status quo of a crazy party and a liberal party.

You like him because the only people he's willing to insult and challenge are his own base of voters. He sees peaceful Tea Partiers as totalitarians, but sees nothing wrong with the Democrat fascists shutting down free speech across the country.
Of all the people on the political landscape who are responsible for the mess we're in, the Establishment Republican gets the most blame because they were tasked with the job of fixing things, and many who voted for them thought they were trying to do so, while all the while they were working with the Dems to stab us in the back while spending our children's future to buy the votes of people who hate our guts. They took the place of someone who should have been working on our behalf.
Well, we're on to them now and we won't be as easily fooled as we were in the past.

I don't remember him insulting anyone.
He didn't say Tea partiers are totalitarians. He said the Tea Party takeover was totalitarian in nature.
I don't know of anyone in congress who is really a totalitarian.
Also, he doesn't measure a person by who he is willing to insult. I don't understand why people like you hold insults in such high regard. Would you be willing to explain that?

When someone who calls themselves a Democrat accuses you of being totalitarian while Republicans are violently suppressing Democrat free speech and shooting up Democrat politicians, then we can address this again. I would ask you to imagine what that would be like and how you would respond but my experience is that Democrats struggle to put themselves in other's shoes when it comes to conservatives because they automatically think we deserve everything we get, so we'll have to wait until it happens to you before we can talk about it.

That's right. I forgot that your history was re-written last night to exclude the Trump rally that was shut down by Democrats, and the Trump supporters beaten at rallies, and the Milo speech violence, and Coulter, and Evergreen, and Claremont, and ......
You should wear a helmet just in case you bump into reality.

Nobody called you a totalitarian. Democratic politicians get shot too. Whether it's Gabby Giffords or Steve Scalise, nobody deserves to be shot. I was sad to hear that Scalise was moved back into the ICU. Nobody deserves to have their free speech suppressed.
I'd still like to hear about why you hold insults in such high regard.
Talking to liberals is like talking to one of those people who can't remember what happened yesterday. Every time you see them you have to tell them what the Hell is going on in current events. That's my fault. I know that but keep forgetting that in your world most of what happens vanishes by the next morning, or gets spun into something unrecognizable to the objective observer. I'll work on that.

Liberals don't keep up with current events? What an odd thing to say among all the liberals on this board who gobble up every headline.
Some people don't keep up with the news. Some purposely avoid it. That's OK with me.

When I said we'd have to wait for it to happen to you, it wasn't a backhanded insult. I was being serious. When your own party insults you, then we can discuss it. But it won't happen because Democrat politicians aren't STUPID ENOUGH TO INSULT THEIR OWN BASE!!!
That's at least one thing Democrats get right, where the Republicans have something to learn. But I understand why they do it. In the current Victims vs. Villains game no one wants to be put in the position of defending the Villains, which is what we are asking our Republican politicians to do. It takes character and courage to defend people who get insulted and demonized everyday and whose very existence is politically incorrect, and politicians are not known for their character or courage in the face of political challenges. Republicans just can't take the heat and decide to join the haters and insult their base because they think we have no where else to go. Well we found another path.
So I understand it, but I will never respect it.

I'll agree that on campus conservatives suffer consequences for speaking their mind. It's not really violent, except in exceedingly rare circumstances tho.
if you are not on campus, there is no violent repression of right wing thought.
alex hamilton on trump. He nailed it.

Let me give a better answer.
I have been to many rallies and protests including the Trump rally that was shut down by Democrats in Chicago. I stood shoulder to shoulder with young Democrats as they screamed vile insults and threats at people like me leaving the rally. I have been personally threatened face to face. I have seen first hand just how much hatred can be generated through insults and demonization. It leads to distrust, division, hate, violence, fascism, and death.
We should all know this by now, but the Democrats have demonization in overdrive, culminating with Hillary's Basket of Irredeemable Deplorables. There's no empathy there. No concept of a unified society. It's incredibly dangerous.
That's why as a general rule I refrain from insults. I try not to add to the problem, but that's a hard discipline to maintain when surrounded by idiots like you!

Wrong. I was at the Chicago Trump rally which was violently shut down by Democrats. My first amendment rights were intentionally violated.
But you just forgot that didn't you. Let's try again.
