These conversations are going out of control.
We all know very smart, well informed people who vote Republican and a lot of low information Republican voters.
The same can be said for those voting for Democrats.
In my opinion, the smart Republican voters will vote in their self interest to maybe get a tax break or not be hassled by rules.
The less informed Republican voters will vote more on a visceral and emotional level. They don't like change and think things keep getting worse (Make America Great Again). They often vote against their self interest as they receive government benefits that their leaders want to take away.
The smart Democrat voters are philanthropic and see that helping everyone will also help them (a rising tide lifts all boats).
The less informed Democrat voters also go by more emotion and may rely on services that Republicans threaten to take away.
That's the voters.
The difference in Republican and Democrat politicians is different.
They will stand on their convictions and differing ideologies and maybe vote legislation that way.
But they both campaign to get the most votes in their particular situation and anything goes there.
Trump is not a Republican or a Democrat by nature. He's a silver spoon businessman.
He chose the Republican route because his in your face emotional style of talking is more appealing to mass Republican voters than Democrat voters.
He cares nothing about the ideology of the Republican party.
