Long time Republican here. Born and raised in a very red state with a very Republican family. Although 2016/2017 has me questioning everything....
That being said, you Trump guys scare me. I find it frightening that enough of you guys exist to actually elect a man like Donald Trump.
Please, flip the script. Ask yourself what would you be doing if it had been Obama acting like Trump. Would you be defending it? Then why defend Trump?
And don't blame it on the media or the deep state. Have you ever listened to the man? Almost all the accusations fit within the realm of possibility. Haven't you noticed his capacity for creating his own messes and controversies? He has no idea how to read a delicate situation and tread carefully. It would have been easy for someone like him to get tangled up with and/or manipulated by someone like Putin.
Aren't you at least a little bit concerned with his "America First" agenda and poor treatment of our allies? The last time we had an "America First" slogan, we let foreign conflicts escalate into a war that engulfed the entire planet. Once the war was over, we said, "Never again" and have spent a lot of time and effort creating structures to prevent such conflicts: the UN, NATO, etc. These are the very governing bodies and allies that Trump is criticising and weakening. How does this not concern you?
Yes, Trump won. I think YOU need to get over it. Get out of your "Eat it libs! We won!" drunken stupor. Grow up and critically ask yourself, "Is Trump truly making America great?"
