If voters used strictly economic issues and pocket book motivators there would never be a Republican in office....and that’s a bad thing. Free college? Free healthcare? Who doesn’t want that?
How are we going to pay for it used to be a thing, especially with the GOP. Now that doesn’t even matter anymore.

I will raise my hand as NOT wanting free college. I would rather support free trade school training than free college as too many people who shouldn't go to college now already. If you are poor and have the grades to get into college, it is VERY affordable. If you are not quite so poor, there are still ways to go to college cheaply including starting at a Community College.
Part of what the Democrats have done wrong is to jump on this free college bandwagon. By doing so, we are telling those who don't want to go to college or who can't go to college, that we don't value you and the career you have. We need to start to value those who work in the trades much more.
