Oh hey, the WH chief of staff chatting about how the WH has had meetings about how to curtail freedom of the press. No biggie - just the WH putting up trial balloons about how people would react to a shredding of the bill of rights.
Carry on, trumpers. Your man. You voted him in. Idiots.
You have lost forever the right to criticize any democrat on constitutional issues unless you condemn this.

I fully support any policies that force the "news" outlets to simply report the news, and leave their political agenda at the door. The more actual news they report, the less "Agips" and "Flagpoles" we'd end up with. Rather than telling people what to think, which results in non-stop article linking from folks like you, it would force folks to actually get educated, understand topics and be capable of providing original thought to political discourse.
The playbook used against Trump was/is incredibly dishonest, despicable, and- unfortunately for the media-industrial complex- terribly stale and predictable. That's why no one trusts what they say anymore.
there you have it. trump supporter advocating the abrogation of the freedom of the press. (Based on complete misunderstandings and propaganda of course.)
I'm telling you -many Trump voters are dumb and ignorant enough to sit back and applaud if Trump says he has to take away their rights. Like in Turkey, the country bumpkins will applaud the elimination of freedom because they will see it as a slap at the urban elites.
You people are clear and present dangers to the republic.
agip, we have known long ago that you have been triggered😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
How did that whole disarm and enslave thing work out you Deuchenozzle?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Not so great huh?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lets do it again in a few years, We The People really enjoy whoop'n your a$$😎🇺🇸
oh that awful globalism!

Hard to believe but I think that "Agip Detector" and Trumpettes in general can say such things as, "I fully support any policies that force the "news" outlets to simply report the news, and leave their political agenda at the door." with a straight face.
Fortunately true Tumpettes are probably a minority of Trump voters (many of whom are just Republican-at-all-cost voters).

Oh a link from Agip?! No way?!!
I employed that exact argument against my Lefty / pro-union / pro-academia pals a back around 2010. Guess what they're response was? That's right. "I don't give a shit about other countries, I care about the US middle class... the middle class built this country, and drives this country."
And now what has happened? Because Trump comes in and starts spewing that same rhetoric, the Lefty Lemmings suddenly are pro-free trade and globalism. Hilarious. Idiots.
It's amazing how the Lefties simply cannot comprehend that the bulk of Trump voters do not respect the press at all. Journalists- haha. Who gives a flying f@ck?! They have been scum since the 90s. 24/7 news was a bad, bad invention that perpetuated "news" into political brainwashing. It has divided the country, not Trump. There is no "Trump" if the media had simply been reporting the news. Their overreach caused a non-ideologue to take down the establishment. Always remember that.

You're wrong, it's pretty clear that Trump voters don't respect the press, who is disputing that? Whether they should respect the press is a different question. It's also debatable why they don't respect them. I can easily argue the GOP is butt hurt from having been on the receiving end of the "liberal" networks for so long, hence their campaign to discredit them. Trump simply stepped up the anti-media rhetoric that much more. Clear case of attacking the messenger. It's always fine when something is working in your favor, but when it doesn't it's easy to cry foul. It's kind of pathetic to point the finger at the media for your failures. It's even more pathetic that you as a voter think the GOP is a victim. There is an arsenal of right-wing media weapons which have been extremely effective at charging up voters. Don't watch CNN if you don't like their opinions or analysis. You are a lazy moran though if you believe you can't find "real" news anywhere.
Btw - I do agree that the coverage since Trump entered the race until election mostly helped him. The likes of CNN not only gave him a voice, but they almost put a comical spin to it all. Don't forget their ratings are great, so as a business it worked. I would hardly say he took down the establishment. The GOP hasn't changed and won't, because Trump is gone in 4 or 8 years and they keep going. Can't wait to see what fills the void. But sure, keep hanging on to your one little "victory"...
Here are some goodies to start the week.
When asked about the his Obama wiretap allegations and his claims that the fake news outlets are protecting him Trump has nothing to say, refuses to elaborate. This is a clear example of the MSM, CNN in this case, asking him directly to elaborate on his opinions and him simply brushing them off. He gets what he deserves.
According to Trump, pre-existing conditions will stay in the new bill, no longer optional for states, mandatory now. Incredible, what's the point of even messing with ACA? He is completely walking back on his election promises. If the ACA is so horrific as the GOP has claimed for so long now, why not simply repeal it and move on? Fvckn morons.
Trump discussing the Civil War and Andrew Jackson... Bouncing all over, can't stay on topic, can't say anything coherent. Completely ignorant and uninterested in history. This is the POTUS. Rednecks be proud.
(Damn, I would've bet any amount of money that Agip was going to bring the thread back up to the top. Anyway...)
"But sure, keep hanging on to your one little "victory"
One little victory? Your denial of Trump beating the establishment is ridiculous. They pulled out every trick from the playbook. CNN broadcast his audio saying the F, P, and B words on primetime TV. They wanted him to go down in flames. But... nope. HRC was NOT going to become president. And he won with positions that both Democrats and Republicans could relate to. His labor/jobs message could be exact quotes coming from Obama in 2008, and the media would have loved it. Remember, he flipped like 250 counties that voted for Obama twice. That is a flat out mandate from those counties.
Anyway, since you bring up victories, here are the victories the Left has had recently:

LOL
for some reason conservatives have no clue how ratings-driven news works. If a candidate does something crazy, the networks will pile on it like crazy, because it gets ratings. They dont' give a darn who wins - they have to sell ads.
That's why the press made the email and benghazi 'scandals' the most important thing about HRC's campaign. that's why they repeated Trump's admission of being a sexual assaulter. that's why they repeated his claim of having a large penis.
No idea why you can't understand that.
And part two is of course that the rural trump voters love nothign more than when Trump broke the china. So every time CNN repeated Trump's bragging about ogling naked teenage girls, the rural bumpkins heard 'well that will show those urban elites!'
it's nuts.
There you are, running that same little victory lap again, stuck in Nov 2016. That's all you got
It's an idiocracy now, the number of idiot voters has grown exponentially, and not to our surprise, a majority are conservatives. I won't be surprised if Mark Cuban runs as a Democrat in 2020, which will attract a significant number of trumpkins.

Newsflash for you there, chief - there is a difference between "not respecting the press at all" and thinking that the government should be able to "force the 'news' outlets to simply report the news".
Who determines what is news, chief? The government? But I thought you folks didn't trust people in government.
You know, there are lovely countries all around the world where the government does in fact, "force the 'news' outlets to simply report the news". Perhaps you would be more comfortable in China, North Korea, Russia, Cuba or Venezuela.
I could go on but perhaps we can keep this short with:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press..." - worthless rubbish, no?
Here, I'll post it for you again...

But I thought they controlled the big bad media?
And if Donny opens up libel laws and the Ann Coulters and Sean Hannitys of the world are sued up to their eyeballs, I'm sure there will be no backlash whatsoever because they didn't "just report the news", right?
It's fairly obvious to anyone that isn't protecting their flailing tribe (you) that "news" is NOT the majority of what is broadcast on CNN, MSNBC, or Fox most of the time. Again, I'm all for implementing measures that keep a network's stupid agenda out of reporting the news.
The local nightly news does an excellent job of keeping out of politics- why can't the 24/7 news networks do the same? Oh, that's right. BECAUSE IT'S NOT NEWS... IT'S ENTERTAINMENT.

JFC, you can't even keep the discussion on topic? Victories and control in the above was obviously in reference to GOVERNMENT. No victories. No control.
And since when does Ann Coulter report the news? You can't even keep your argument straight. John Stewart is on my side in this argument. Remember when he grilled the CNN hosts of Crossfire because that type of "news" was destroying news and dividing the country? Yeah? I agree.
Again, I'm all for implementing measures that keep a network's stupid agenda out of reporting the news.
Ok lets hear you out, what measures would you propose? What specific lines do you want to draw? Lets expand this conversation to give more context to your arguments. Whether we like it or not, millions tune in to Facebook and Twitter to get their "news". Would your measures extend to those "sources" of news as well? Are you comfortable with Trump the genius and his conflicted friends mapping out these measure for you? Explain to us what you would do to stop these evil media sources if you President.
