Well, you are incorrect. Clapper said there was a spy (that we know of) on the Trump campaign. How do we know this? Because of republicans are digging into corruption in the Obama Administration. If all the "smart" liberals want the truth to come out why do they keep stalling and twisting the truth.
Liberals are the dimmest people on earth ... or most corrupt people on earth. Look at the dumbest explanations they give. I guess they have to say that or they will go to jail. The libs just eat all this sh*t up.
Behar: "I ask you, was the FBI spying on Trump's campaign?"
Clapper: "No, they were not. They were spying on — a term I don't particularly like — but on what the Russians were doing. Trying to understand were the Russians infiltrating, trying to gain access, trying to gain leverage and influence which is what they do."
Behar: "Well, why doesn't he like that? He should be happy."
Clapper: "He should be."
Asked if it was possible that there was a "spy" inserted into Trump's campaign by an intelligence agency, Comey said, "I don’t find it possible and I know it not to be true."
BRET BAIER: You called the dossier unverified, salacious. Why did you use that to the FISA court to ask for surveillance for Carter Page? Not only use it but you led with it, a bulk of that FISA application deals with that dossier. Why?
JAMES COMEY: Yeah. That's not my recollection, Bret. And I don't know that the FISA application has been released. My recollection was it was part of a broader mosaic of facts that were laid before the FISA judge to obtain a FISA warrant.
BAIER: It was a lot more than the dossier in the FISA application?
COMEY: My recollection was there was a significant amount of additional material about Page and why there was probable cause to believe he was an agent of a foreign power. And the dossier was part of that but was not all of it or a critical part of it, to my recollection.
BAIER: The intel briefing at Trump Tower. You briefed the president-elect on the sliver of the dossier, really the salacious part about the prostitutes in Moscow and that allegation.
COMEY: Correct.
BAIER: Didn't include anything broader than that, right?
COMEY: Correct. My mission in that private briefing was just to tell him about that slice of it.
“CNN is close to going forward with the sensitive story,” McCabe wrote in an email to Comey, Rybicki, and two others. “The trigger for them is they know the material was discussed in the brief and presented in an attachment.” McCabe does not reveal how he knew CNN’s “trigger” was Comey's briefing to Trump.
