Utter horseshit, The Tea Party and The Birther movement continually protested the presidency and The Republicans on mass did nothing but obstruct and even said they were going to obstruct.
Anyway Trump doesn't need Dems to get his policies through because he has majorities in each house. His problem is he can't get policies that all the GOP will agree with. He couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

something over half of Republcans at one point didnt' believe Obama was born in the US. In other words, half of Republicans thought in their hearts that Obama was an illegitimate president.
Of course they were wrong, as Republicans almost always are.
No amount of history rewrite will eliminate the birther madness.
