Assuming no impeachment in first term, all we need is either 1) just 1-2% of 2016 trumpers to stay home, leaving the mouth-breathers who will support no matter what, or 2) more democrats to show up to vote, or 3) both. He's working with the narrowest margin of error. He is shooting himself in the foot almost on a daily basis but we should not discount just low the performance bar was set for him. We should also not discount that Democrats also really dislike their leadership right now. He may pull it off, but he will need his party to rally behind him, I don't think he will be able to get elected alone this time around.
I will defer to the guy who says brah/bruh to give me the straight talk though.
I also don't believe he can get elected in 2020 if it gets that far, but I don't think it will get that far. We are still more than 2 years away from that election. There is just no reasonable circumstance to suggest he will be able to be on the ballot for actual election in November 2020.
It is remarkable that a guy who lies this much and is so corrupt can keep most of the people who voted for him in 2016. It is even more remarkable when:
1) He painted himself as a champion of the working man when his past has not shown that to be the case at all.
2) His two biggest chants of the campaign, "Mexico will pay for the wall" and "Lock her up" have not come to fruition and never will.
3) He has proven to be the most swampy of all swampers, and he was supposed to drain the swamp.
4) Conservative Christians still back him by unbelievable levels when he is easily the most sinful President we have ever had. We all know now that it is possible (not guaranteed) that he was the father of the aborted fetus where a $1.6 million hush payment was made. Mr. "Two Corinthians" showed he's no Christian, he has said he never has to ask for forgiveness, and he has broken almost all of the Ten Commandments and then some without remorse apparently.
I could go on, but I don't feel like it.
