In the era of President Trump, even time spent in prison can be turned into a positive talking point, demonstrating a candidate’s battle scars in a broader fight against what he perceives as liberal corruption.

By definition, there is no question Trump wants a banana republic, since he is for isolationist policies and restricted capitalism. And since you brought it up, I find it interesting that Trump has made several generals very politically powerful... yeah nothing smells like banana republic here

Of course tomorrow he may change his tune, but today he's doing it right.
Is he really "making the case"? How so?
You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.

If your friend jumps off the bridge you don't have to do the same. Ye being Ye is a fight for you to be you. For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don't tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary
I love Hillary too.
Stuff like that. That's making the case in the right way. As opposed to the people who are threatening to "f*ck him up" for saying these things. Those people are doing it wrong.
As predicted by people who know trickle down is fantasy economics.
"So far, hard evidence of such an acceleration has yet to appear in economic data … And while there are pockets of the economy where investment is picking up … corporate spending on buying back stock is increasing at a far faster clip, prompting a debate about whether the law is returning money to the overall economy or just rewarding a small segment of investors."

That's called tweeting, you know, like your Dear Leader does 24/7. If you meant the substance, that's called blabbering. Nobody is telling any trumper they CAN'T support Trump, so his tweets are nothingburgers and meant to appease the likes of you. Take off your trump goggles and look back further than a couple of weeks worth of Kanye moments and you're going to find some truly offensive and aggressive stuff, then come back and remind us again who does it wrong.

Step out of the rat maze - Kanye makes his name antagonizing everyone and being contrarian. That you are seriously referring to a twitter rapper battle to try to make a point is insane. Let us know when Jay-Z or Eminem hop on the Trump train.

The point of testifying under oath is to get a record of the witness's account of events under the pain of being held accountable for knowingly distorting reality. I can see where you might be uncomfortable with this concept.

And obviously, it's only perjury if you lie.
Gary is afraid that Trump won't be able to answer these questions without lying. Now why would he think that?
Of course, leave to Trump to f'-up a simple statement (using 'has' rather than 'had' about Iran's nuke program) in such a way that causes global havoc.

Trump shouldn't talk to Mueller.
"Perjury Trap"? Would that be where they give you some of that famous anti-truth serum and force you to lie under oath?
Oh Lying Gary, you never cease to amuse. Keep up the good work.

Lying Gary
He's making the case for basic freedoms in the same ways that trolls do. Which is fine, but not novel.

No one survives a government perjury trap. No one. Just ask Scooter Libby.
There's no doubt that they have nothing at all on Trump and they just want to trap him with perjury. That's the last card they have to play, and I say don't let them play it.
"The effects of the Trump tax cut are already looking like the effects of the Brownback tax cut in Kansas, the Bush tax cut and every other much-hyped tax cut of the past three decades: big talk, big promises, but no results aside from a swollen budget deficit."

Hey, Lying Gary. Again going on record to say that it is impossible to avoid lying under oath! Good job!
Must be absolutely HORRIBLE to be so completely dominated by your inner demons that the concept of honesty seems like an impossibility to you. You are truly the most tormented soul on these boards (even including DFF = Jamin).
My condolences.
Your logic is backwards.
You think you're on the prediction side of the "sun coming up." But you're actually on the side saying that it's NOT going to come up. Yet every single day, you still say, "you just wait and see, it won't come up tomorrow!"
The burden of proving that the sun will not come up is on YOU, since it does in fact come up everyday...
Just like Trump being POTUS. Every single day. As you sit there, powerless.

Trump shouldn't talk to Mueller.
1) I agree with you that Trump shouldn't talk to Mueller. It can only hurt him because he is guilty as hell, and he is so undisciplined that he will say things his attorneys would rather he not say.
2) Now, is he going to have to talk to Mueller? I hope so, because we need to get the whole truth, and we can't be assured of that if Trump doesn't talk.
3) And, of course his motives matter. Will go to possible obstruction of justice.
4) Nothing tabloid justicey about this at all. Trump has given them reason to investigate him, and they are doing so appropriately.
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done.

He's not exactly a paradigm of good mental health. (Probably another reason Trumpers suddenly find him so interesting.)
EXCELLENT observation.

Here's a quote from the guy you believe is "doing it right":
"I am Warhol. I am the No. 1 most impactful artist of our generation. I am Shakespeare in the flesh."
