Thanks for posting that. I've been meaning to follow up on the details of the Trump/Russia server story for quite some time.
Without giving away too much about what I do, I can say with some authority that the Slate story is well written and technically sound.
Furthermore, it is extremely convincing evidence of collusion. Assuming the facts in the story are true, there is no doubt that the Trump organization and Alpha Bank were having secret conversations.
All you have to do is get the forensic experts to testify. Then add the details of Jared Kushner's secret meeting with the head of Alpha Bank and you've got proof of a secret Trump/Russia relationship during the campaign.
Throw in the fact that the server communication spiked at significant times, such as during the conventions and you wouldn't have much trouble convincing a jury that there was collusion.
And that collusion goes a long way toward proving criminal conspiracy.
