Does KB have an ice vest for pre race?
Sub2hr project reporting race is starting in a couple minutes at 9:20 ET (rather than 9:30 p.m. ET)
I forgot how early this race is. I was skeptical given the temps he'd have a chance, but with no sun for a good portion early on that certain helps.
Kenny B.will be undeterred by high temperatures. Like Donald he does not believe in Global Warming junk science. Instead, to fuel his WR attempt, he will channel the trifecta of Zatopek,Budd, and Wottle along with a unrelenting display of Pure Hate to make the rest of us mortal runners look like heartless cowards.
Expect Great Things, for America.

Okay so far during the Flotrack broadcast I can hear the announcers speaking English but there's also someone in the background speaking another language which is extraordinarily distracting.
If you missed our pre-race podcast with Sean Hartnett- who knows Bekele and has seen ever WR since 1988- he said the dewpoint at 60 is at the very outer limits of what is humanly possible. He said if Bekele gets the WR he'll have to run something equivalent to about 2:02:15.
He did think there was a 1/3 to 1/5 chance he gets it which is good as if the dewpoint was mid60s he thought there was no chance.

Sean... should we expect a negative or positive split race ...?

Damn it. I meant to ask him about the pacing. That was the one question I had written down pre-race. I don't get why you go out in 61 flat unless the mindset is to put time in the bank due to the heat.
Kimetto got the WR with a negative split.
Kimetto - 61:45
Bekele 61:11
Kipchoge 61:24

Well is there actually any science that says today's temperature will be an obstacle? Or is it just junk science?
can someone live tweet this, please?

What is he basing that on? How does he know it is humanly possible or impossible?
FloTrack broadcast -Arabic chatter in the background. Lot of buffering and sound is choppy! Good picture.
Race has started

You single? What are your PRs?
I talked to Hartnett about the pacing. He said he thought that since Kenenisa was initially supposed to go out with the 3rd group in London but went out on WR pace that he wanted to get out here again knowing it would slow a little in the heat.
He said one underestimated thing was how Haile was great out motivating and relaxing the pacers to do well.
Thanks for whoever posted free link. The race is indeed off.
We've already had almost three minutes of people crossing the finish line. Come on, people!

Is anyone paying for it? I'm not. Watching it for free. Or at least what threre is to see. IT's dark and I can't see the Africans racing.
