After every run, my shorts smell bad. Are there any shorts with better funk-reducing technology? Currently I tend to wear adidas shorts with 5" to 9" inseam (prefer the 5" but they're hard to find). I live in a humid climate and sweat a lot. Recommendations would be helpful.

Tide Sport. Use it. And dont wait a week for 7 pairs of shorts to accumulate and ferment. Do a small load every other day or something.

+1. I bet the OP has tonnes of feces left in his butt crack because he doesn't use a bidet or baby wipes.
If you take showers then just wring them out in the shower after every run.
Microwave them to kill the bacteria.
That's not good if your shorts stink, if you are in a race and trying to catch up to sometime they will be able to smell you coming.
This is easy to fix. Add a half cup of white vinegar to the washing machine when doing the laundry. It's dirt cheap and works great.

I have a new Lg washer. I put regular detergent and about .75 ounces of Clorox bleach diluted in 1-2 ounces water in the bleach tray. I don't add fabric softener or very little. I do this for loads in which hygiene is a factor and/or smells. Works like a charm. Of course the downside is it increases risk of colors running, discoloration, so don't put your work clothes, date clothes, Sunday's best in such loads. Or if you are trying to keep your fashionable colorful running threads in good visual order, add a little fabric softener like I said. I used to have the same problem. None of the odor eliminating sport detergents worked consistently. I think newer technology (machines) help too. Good luck dawg
Wash your shorts in the shower with deodorant soap after each run. Wring out all the water and hang them to dry. Do not put the shorts in the dirty laundry bin and wash them once week because that is perfect environment for growing all kinds of nasty things.
If you run in basketball shorts, there is no hope for you.

For me, it's workout shirts that get that permafunk. Shorts tend to be fine until the elastic gets shot from too many trips through the drier (or I get too fat for them.
Not helpful for shorts problems, but I've had better luck with short longevity when I switched from antiperspirant to deodorant.
For shorts, I'll echo the suggestion that a few have made to just wash them more promptly after wear. Other that, just try to be okay with ththe fact that workout clothes wear out and need to be replaced periodically.

Exactly what I do. Rinse them in the shower (I use cool water after I'm done showering) and then hang to dry. Then put them in the wash and wash them.
