According to Oxfam International:
Globally: Top 1% controls more than half of the world's wealth.
United States: Top 1% controls 42% of the nation's wealth.
Not surprising, when you think about oil barons in the Middle East and Diamond Cartels in Africa... This supports what we have always known: The poor in the US are relatively much better off than the poor in the rest of the world.
Is it possible to encourage the job producing capabilities of our top 1% while simultaneously shrinking the gap between the rich and the poor?
