I came off a great run 4 days ago (this past Sunday) during the recent cols front. I was able to press the pace easily as instructed by a training plan i recently started, but i was not overdoing it as I was doing it at my current vdot fitness slightly a number below what is even suggested for my fitness.
Recently my easy runs have started feeling more intense than what they used to feel like even though the pace is the same as I always ran at +/- 10 sec. I thought maybe I was just having an off day, but now with the heart rate also saying it's up 20 beats per minute at the same pace from a previous week. Anyone know what might be causing this? The easy runs i plan to do now until my next workout will not be by pace, but rather by average heart rate.
