Mikkeller Brewing is one of the biggest craft beer 'brands' out there. Guy is kind of legendary (Danish).
They have like 50 places around the world, with a new brewery in San Diego. My buddy ran with him this morning and said he was a collegiate runner (3:50ish) at K-State.
Any stories? Anyone know Mikkeller or am I just a bigger beer geek than running geek these days?
Very interesting, did not know this. I'm a beer geek as well. I tend to shy away from Mikkeller and Evil Twin, as I find their beer severely over-priced for the quality offered. Some of their stouts (from both breweries) are decent.
Visited the Mikkeller bar in SF, where the minimum price for a 10oz glass of anything was $11.

He ran at K-State shortly after the "Cap" era around 93-94.

Mikkeller collaborates with Stillwater a lot, who is semi-local here. I like the one's I've had.
Have never heard of them despite considering myself knowledgeable about beers.
I question your knowledge of beers if you haven't at least heard of either Mikkeller or Evil Twin. None of their stuff is exceptional, but always quality and they do a great job branding.
I enjoy Evil Twin on occasion. Always some interesting stuff. I always love their design.
Mikeller beers are often hit or miss for me as well though they make BA Vanilla Shake which is one of the most sought after vanilla stouts. Their sours, while pricey are also very very good. Saw him at Toppling Goliath on my way back to CA. Very quiet fellow. Wish I would have known he was a runner, would have stuck up a conversation.
