It's called Black Friday in the US
It's called Black Friday in the US
And knowing the Japanese it was really only 185 meters.
Are you sure they weren't just running from Godzilla? I call bullshit fake news on the Japanese media.
Sitting at home and watching Russian Porno helps America's foreign relations.
The video makes it look amazing.

The winner gets good luck for a year apparently.
Good luck.... and a giant barrel of sake.
Now we know why the Japanese medaled in the 4x100 in Rio.
At first I thought you were talking about the Sakura Michi International Nature Run which is 250 km.
We need this in the USA. Most people probably couldn't even run 1 lap, so something shorter (e.g. 230m) sounds about right. Running participation would skyrocket!
Liability, probably. Watch the pileup and number of falls. Crazy dangerous.

FTFY
Damn PAGANS. Japan has less that 1/2 of one percent Christians. In fact Christian missions have historically had a negative conversion rate..more missionaries adopt the Japanese pagan religion than Japanese convert to Christianity.

Maybe because people like you and your brother, who have the knowledge, time, funds and visibility to organize such a race, instead of doing so come online to ask why others aren't doing it.
If we had this race, all your typical LRC shills would be lamenting the gobs of hobby joggers clogging up the roads for such a lame distance.
Ventolin/Calculo would prattle endlessly about how Jim Ryun would own the 230m world record on a dirt track.
Jamin would piss and moan about all the hot 230m chicks dating ugly dudes.
Stick would openly proclaim the SEC as the best 230m conference in the history of the world.
Wejo would wonder if there was enough caffeine in Flagstaff for him to make the 230m Worlds team.
Coach Canova would chime in regarding Shaheen's brilliance in 230m workouts and how EPO is useless in such races.
And last, but certainly not least, Rojo would pen a typo-filled recap in which he managed to disparage Rupp, Salazar, Mary the Drug-Cheat, and all things NOP, regardless of whether any of those were actually involved in the race.
I laughed. :D
Sprint for Spat .1km race:
I've been told that the after party is very good (being sponsored by a brewery).
Will I get a participant's medal? Sign me up.
post of the year but you forgot the endless "Predict my 230m time from this workout" threads
Agreed on POTY but would also add "where can I get a scholarship with this 230m time?" threads
While I know that security reasons would never allow it to happen, I always thought it would be fun to have a race inside a major airport in the middle of the night. Course could feature "speed boost" sections where you could run on the moving walkways. Transfers between terminals may also include running up/down stairs.
