As a dumb millennial, allow me to admit that I would never drink wine from a can, or any metal container.
There is a resurgence in wine drinking.
Millennials are open to new innovative methods of doing things - see consuming media, shopping, communicating.
There are many more affordable wines out that have great nose and character priced in between the swill at the grocery store and the big reds favored by older customers.
And as we learned with craft beer - cans are environmentally friendly, are great to drink outdoors, protect the wine from light, and add no negative taste elements.
Downside is most of what you taste in wine comes from your nose, so to properly drink wine from a can - you should put it in a glass.
Had some over the summer camping, pretty good stuff.
Drinking wine from a millennialist box.... Yummy
Because older generations grew up with notion that beverages in cans are inferior to bottles.
Can technology has improved and that is no longer the case, cans don't have the same stigma for Millennials.
I'm all for dumping on Millennials but this isn't a valid reason.
Boxed wine is where it's at.

This isn't dumping on Millennials, it's a good an informative topic. (I'm also all for insulting Millennials when necessary)
I am a self confessed neophyte when it comes to canned wine. How long should I age a can in my wine cellar before drinking? Which ones make good investments?
As you know, wine will age better in a can - no light or oxygen. No issues with the cork drying out.
