He simply said that when he was a young man he thought Carrie was beautiful, bright and witty.....seriously. That's basically what he said.
He was called a sexist, and bullied into deleting his tweet.
Well in that case I would have to agree with Loper.
Can we start another parallel internet where SJWs are not allowed in?
The world would be a better place without Twitter.
And facebook
And TMZ
And espn
And letsrun
And instagram

I am not a Trump supporter, but that is why Trump won.
Editor's addition. Martin's tweet was as follows, “When I was a young man, Carrie Fisher was the most beautiful creature I had ever seen. She turned out to be witty and bright as well.”

Yeah there comes a point where people feel they cannot express themselves as some people's sensibilities may be offended some way, somehow, maybe because they weren't loved enough as children and every little comment can be twisted like a pretzel into a disparagement regardless of how nonsensical it all is. I am sure I have just offended those who find run-on sentences utterly unpalatable.
It seems that some folks wake up and look for things to be offended by.

Yes, they are called "liberals."
What was this thread about? Nothing that was written in part one makes any sense at all!
Social media called out Steve Martin for implying that beauty is what matters most for females and if you're smart or have any other admirable qualities it's a nice bonus. He since took it down and Republican trolls are blaming liberals. PC is not why Trump won as most of his voters believe these things and people have always felt this way but just never had a platform to voice it that reaches the masses so quickly.

It won't make sense to you if you lack the requisite intelligence to make connections between seemingly unrelated, events.

Steve did not imply that beauty is what matters most for females. That is an inference YOU made. I concur that Republican trolls got involved in this thread but this kind of b.s. is why Trump won.

He never implied that beauty matters more or less. You completely made that up. He said he noticed her beauty first. This makes sense as you cannot know how smart someone is unless you talk to them or read about them. Do you really not understand how vision works?
Furthermore, there is nothing wrong with prioritizing beauty over brains. There is also nothing wrong with prioritizing brains over beauty.

To a young man, it is, at least in the sense that it's the first thing he notices. And then he finds out her other attributes later. Typically you see somebody before you talk to them and find out what they're like.
This is entirely natural and an inborn trait of humans. Beauty is a likely sign of fertility, youth and health, a ticket to reproductive success. Society ignores this when it condemns it.

At what point in the day were you offended enough by that fact that you came on Letsrun to complain about it.

There is a timestamp on every post so why are you asking that? What point are you trying to make?
