I was playing soccer with the kids about a month ago and twisted my knee. Turns out I have a mild meniscus tear. It hurts minimally if I rest but I've tried running several times and every time I do, i go through a couple of days with much increased discomfort. It seems to "catch" all the time. The doctor says it is just a matter of letting the inflammation resolve and that it is mild enough to not require surgery. This was all based on his clinical diagnosis as he didn't think an MRI would change his recs in any way. I'm curious if anyone has any experience? Will this resolve completely if I just give it enough time or is this going to bother me long term?
