Anywhere Californians go they make it better and more prosperous. Bend would be a backwater loser town without NorCal transplant cash. Direct flights to SFO is the best thing make it all possible.
I own a second home in Bend. You dopey locals aren't complaining about my property taxes and how I increased the value of your homes and made it attractive for educated kids to move there.
I love Bend, and I, along with my fellow Californians, made it better.

yes. i cant wait until the next housing bubble bursts so i can buy your second home from the bank at a third of what you paid for it. you increased my current home value by overpaying for your second home, which actually raises my property taxes and yours. your inability to drive reasonably in a small town is why my raised property taxes and your tax revenue is adding round-a-bouts and "road improvements" due to overpopulation and over visitation.

Paid cash. I didn't bring debt, brought cash. Brought improvements and business. Jobs at REI and coffee shops and brewries are JOBS taken voluntarily. Think logging is coming back? I don't make my living from Bend so I don't give a hoot financially about waiting out the next crash, I'll probably buy more property actually.
No shortage of small poor towns with no amenities and no traffic circles to live in. Although traffic circles are an improvement wherever they are placed. Go there if you don't like new Bend. Madras maybe, you can still drive in. Or Condon, that's a nice spot and you won't have to worry about REI jobs.
Nothing worse than people who whine about newcomers building the economy.
Better than just one of you moving there.
Bend would have been a great town to live in in 1975.
Do they have thots in Bend, OR? I wouldn't mind moving up there and pop some of them.

Wow, you have a lot of anger toward the locals in Bend. Why don't you take your God persona down a notch and respect your fellow Bendites. The anger you display toward the "locals" is probably why the locals don't like "Californians".
But as you pointed out... you are too rich to give a rats ass about your neighbors.
I love Californians, not ones with attitudes like yours but as you pointed out Bend was a farming/ranch/logging community with little money before California money came about. With your "contributions" I am able to make more money. THANKS! Just don't have that attitude if we ever meet in person. I'll felony your hide "old school Bend" style.
