100% correct.

100% correct.
i would go with 46 high running start and 48high for bekele
all you people claiming 49 and 51?? really thats f*cking ludicrous
lets compare the 400m times of the best 1500m guys of all time and see whats up
i went to college with a guy that only ran 3:39 or so but could split 49 mids. if kb could crush out a 53 low 400m in a fast 10k, how can you think he can only go 51? his 3:31 shows he is faster that 51
and vent stop using your math and use the ATHLETES real PR's for gods sake
well he did say in the video that he never really trained for a 800m or 400m. Also, why would he lie about that and say 49 for a 400m when that is totally realistic for him...I highly doubt in his prime he was only capable of a 51
about the 11.0 second 100m claim....i do find that to be a stretch for him but also wouldn't put it past him. He has a high turnover rate and unlike a lot of distance runners, he has some muscular thighs
i wish vent wouldnt be so annoying! USE THE REAL PRS!
looks what vent came up with
el g
(vent math) real PR
47.25 ? (my guess 46.8)
1:42.5 1:47.18
2:11.34 2:16.85
3:25.79 3:26.00
4:42.61 4:44.79
7:21.58 7:23.09
KB
(vent math) real PR
51.25 ? (my guess 48.8)
1:47.5 ? (wow pretty much el g's time)
3:30.06 3:32.35
4:45.27 4:49.99 (indoors only)
7:18.88 7:25.79
12:34.50 12:37.35
so what vent is claiming is that el g was 5 seconds faster in his 800 and 1000, .25 faster than his WR, 2 seconds faster in his 2k, and 2 seconds faster in his 3k.....and
kb was 2 seconds faster in his 1500, 4 seconds faster in his 3k.....damn near 7 seconds faster in the 3k, 2 seconds under the record, and 3 seconds under his 5k record! haha
listen vent if you are going to claim el g was 5 seconds faster in his 8 but kb is at best a 51 high guy your insane....oh wait everyone knows that, even your idol jim ryun
here is an idea.....hey renato, you were around kb for a bit, what do you think his REAL pr's are/should be?
El G was a 12:36 type guy. after all he beat a 12:37 guy.
i agree with spencer wrote:

You are making a fool of yourself. Bekele is certainly closer to 3:29 than he is to 3:32 for 1500m or 51 than 48 for 400m. Renato has also agreed with this. It takes a special person to make less sense than Ventolin. Using official times like you have done is not the correct way to go about this.
El G - 47 He was not 800-1500 type. More 1500m and up
Kenny B - 48 He easily had that kind of speed
No way EL G could run 46.8 for 400. Nowhere near!
That would make him faster than Aouita, Ovett, Cram. He wasn't as fast as any of those guys. In an open 400 I think he'd have struggled to break 48. I think Bekele was more like 49 high.
For 800 EL G could run about 1:43 mid and Bekele about 1:46 high

i have no idea who "vent" is but, if he had any descriptor, then the assignation to such, non-stupefying the adjective in this concurrence of "moron", woud i suggest you learn running-101 :
"flat-out from gun at even pace in ideal weather, paced to bell in 1/2 or mile, or 2k in a 3k, or 3k in a 5k or 5k in a 10k"
here is kennster running an astonishing 3k in utterly total crap weather & pacer collapsing away before 2k !!!
what was this run in rieti off smoothly drafted 4'53+ ???

He was faster than all three of them actually. All of them were 1500 runners and close to being specialists at the distance, just like El G.
He was more than three seconds faster than them all.

You should have stopped after your first sentence.
Kenenisa could not run 48.
I think it is likely that Hicham would beat him 47.91 to 49.98. And that is when they were at their fastest.

There is no evidence that Bekele easily had 48 speed. I'd put him at 50 at the fastest. I also disagree with part of your El G comment. I think El G was more like a pure 1500m runner. There were reports of him running 1:42 in practice. I do agree that his 400m was around 47.xx. Do you really think that only ONE second in 400m ability is the difference between Bekele and El G??

Yeah 3:39 athlete had nowhere near the endurance of Bekele. Obviously. Bekele can take his 50 400m speed on and on.
This guy is pure EPO endurance. Bekele is likely:
50 (50)
1:47.5 (53.75)
3:32 (56.5)
12:37 (60.5)
26:17 (63)
Do you not understand how his 5k/10k times affect 1. his ability to run fast and 2. his ability to hold his speed for a long time?

Yes I really do. El G reportably had incredible lactic acid threshold. If he was juiced, he's running close to his threshold. Anyone who doesn't think Kenny B could not run 48 is crazy. This is a guy who ran 51 on his last lap of a 5k looking back the last 200m, in a sub 27 race.

I was talking about their 400 speed, the subject of this thread.
No way EL G at his peak would have been able to beat Ovett or Aouita, over 400m. And I doubt he'd have beaten Cram either, although it would have been close.

El G was practically a whole level above all of them. He wold be faster over 400 as well.

Assuming Prime Bekele as in Prime on the track Bekele. Who wins in a 400, no flying start? For the record, I think El G totally takes KB any distance 1000-2000 meters, after that I'm not so sure.
Considering El Guerrouj had a quicker best over 3k and beat him over 5k in successive years these claims told hold to the facts.

This stuff really shouldn't need to be explained.
Apparently, it does have to be explained because you are wrong. Bekele was a great 1500m runner. He was a 3:29.xx type of guy.
Which part of "based on actual times" confused you? He never ran 3:29.
You're half right though, it does have to be explained.
