I did a 10mile run on a circuit trail in the city today, a run I do many times a week. Today at mile four of my run I was coming up behind a guy about my age (mid 20s) jogging ahead of me with headphones. Three times I was (without changing pace) about to pass by him and three times he glared at me over his shoulder and with great effort sprinted for ten or so yards to stay ahead of me. When he reached the top of the trail he stepped off and started stretching intensely. I started my next loop and didn't see him again when I came back around. Who do hobby joggers think they are impressing doing this on their 1 mile runs in the park?
Tl;dr: non runner refused to let me pass him at great effort after glaring at me over his shoulder while I was holding a steady pace on a training run. Who are these people?
