My sources say new OSU coach could be Louis Quintana who has tried for years to escape from Arizona State.
Even Louis knows better than to work under Karen Dennis (no distance scholarships)
No no Dennis wrote:

Wait, are you saying Quintana to Ohio State or Oregon State?

Who cares. Every program in Milwaukee is garbage. You'd be inheriting a total disaster at any of those places. No resources, no facilities, no history. None of those schools would be close to winning a WIAC title, they would get destroyed.
False, Marquette would embarrass all the WIAC schools. Maybe you're referring to the dumpster fire that is uwm. You do realize that Marquette is taking home Big East track titles, not 3rd-4th place in the much less competitive Horizon League.
Have you seen the performances in the Big East in the shirt sprints, relays, jumps, throws, multis? It is pretty bad for a D1 conference. The WIAC and Horizon are better then the Big East, everywhere, except in the distances

Agreed, Big East is a joke outside from Distance. Secret to winning Big East is have field eventers and sprinters with a pulse.... sprinkle in some solid distance and boom... Big East title, Marquette knows how to win in the Big Easy

So what's uwm's excuse for a steady decline over the last couple years? No track titles since 2015 and no xc titles ever, and the future doesn't look bright after losing Nate Pozolinski.

No track titles since 2015? Oh my word that was so long ago.

Do you think the gap is thinning? IUPUI just joined the conference, you think that helps UWM's chances on the track? How about xc? You think adding that team will help break the streak of zero xc titles in 23 going on 24 years of horizon league competition?

Guess they didn't figure it out this season as they lost to DePaul both indoor and outdoor on Men's side.

Fiscal year ends tomorrow. Highly unlikely that anyone from any of these programs is worthy of moving up to P5 assistant or any level head coach jobs. If something is opening up shortly, that probably means someone is retiring or getting the axe.

May Mike Nelson (marquette distance) is leaving for greener pastures?

What job would he qualify for that is better than his current situation? He hasn't really accomplished much in 9 years at Marquette.
West Texas A&M did an internal hire for head coach:
Matt Stewart Elevated to Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach
Story is on their athletic website. In reading the guy's bio it seems like he may have been the success behind that program anyway. Coached the sprints and hurdles - which were the backbone of the program for their D2 title.
Anyword on baylor throws position?
