What's going on at Harvard?
What's going on at Harvard?
Any updates on William and Mary? That could start the dominos falling for other openings...
Did they make the interim coach director or did they hire someone new?

The posting is a formality as usual with state universities. The interim director has the job locked up.

I'm sure Hartford will get a new coaching staff once again

Oh you're so smart. I meant Hartford assclown!
Franklin College Head Men's and Women's cross country coach position just open. I think I might apply with my countless All Americans ðŸ˜
Haha go ahead All americans dude. They're posting it as a formality, but that's my gig (not my words, just quoting).
I'll shock and awe them😜
Any advice for a graduating athlete looking to get into the coaching world? Or jobs that would be willing to bring on a new coach with a lot of athlete experience?
Any news of a new director at Coastal Carolina?
Go to clinics and make friends. You'll quickly learn that its better to be friends with coaches than to be a good coach. Oh and learn to recruit. College Coaching is about recruiting, retention, making friends and not getting ncaa violations. You see how I mentioned nothing about the ability to actually coach

If you want to be in a top notch program, you actually do need to be able to coach kids up. Your points about the other aspects are valid, but to stay in or move to a great job, you have to be able to get it done once the kids are there.

As mentioned, yes somewhat true but still have to be able to coach.
Are we jaded a bit? Why is you statement somewhat true? Because people do the hiring actually highly value references from individuals they know and respect, and can rely on for an accurate evaluation of a job candidate. That's how the real world works. You can whine about it, and work within reality, or you can put the blame on something other than yourself. Everyone has to maximize the credentials to get hired in the position they want.
